Monday Steam Day

On Mondays, students enjoy a variety of science classes as well as art activities.  Monday is a stand-alone class day, and families are welcome to enroll in Mondays only.

Classes meet from 9:00-1:45 and tuition for Mon only is $150/month with a $150 supply/registration fee  (pick up is between 1:45 and 2:00 pm)

 

Students are divided into small groups by grade level and rotate through a variety of instructors and activities.  Classes are for Kindergarten through High School, we also have single day preschool available on Mondays. 

 

For the 2023-2024 school year, students will rotate though 5 different classes each Monday with different instructors who specialize in their subject area.

Junior Biologist 

Instructor, Ms. Sarah Hames

Students will learn about animals, plants, and more in this hands on class. Students will have the opportunity to interact with our animals- we have held snakes and lizards, hatched praying mantises, and explored insect life cycles. This class is focused on biology, nature, Texas native plants and animals, and animal husbandry.

Science Explorers

Instructor, Ms. Claire Brynestad

Students will enjoy hands on science experiments and instruction by our Master science instructors. Some of our previous   include dissection, chemistry, geology, STEM, electricity and magnets, and light and sound.

Art Explorers

Instructor, Ms. Leigh Anne Marx

Students will enjoy a variety of art activities and explore line, shape, color, and value. We will work in a variety of mediums including paint, pastels, and mixed media, and also enjoy seasonal art and crafts.  Students will also learn about famous artists and their works.

Health and Fitness

Instructor, Ms. Amy Keels

Get up and move! Students enjoy PE activities and games.  If weather permits, this class will be outside as we have several acres of our property fenced so the children can explore.  

Gardening

Horticulture/Botany

Instructor, Miranda Kelly

This year we welcome  Ms. Miranda, who has a Master's in Horticulture and is excited to share all about plants with your child! We will work on preparing beds, starting seeds, planting, harvesting, and other aspects of gardening. Older students will also explore plant propagation techniques.  Class will be held outdoors (as weather allows) in our multi acre fenced facility. ALSO AVAILABLE: Gardening club meets from 2:00-3:00 on Monday, and is $20 per class.  Students will work on the garden beds and planting.

Preschool

Preschool is also available on Mondays only, the Monday preschool students will have traditional preschool activities plus a pull out Junior Biologist class to give them the opportunity each week to hold / interact with an animal.
